Are You Considering Parenting?
Although being a mother was not exactly what you had in mind right now, it may be the right choice. Our goal at Heart to Heart is that you feel confident in whatever decision you make. We want you to have as much information as possible when considering all of your options, and that includes knowing what’s available to you to parent.
Being a good parent has nothing to do with whether you planned on getting pregnant or not. It has everything to do with the time and effort you put into caring for your child.
How To Know If Parenting Is Right For You
Parenting, like your other two choices of abortion or adoption, is difficult. You need to know someone’s got your back to take on the responsibility, but parenting is also one of the most rewarding choices you can make.
You may have more questions than answers about parenting at this time. That’s normal, and we want to help. Clients who have considered parenting ask things like:
- What if my husband/partner doesn’t want the baby, but I do?
- How do I tell my family? Will they give me their support?
- How will I finish school?
- Can I continue working?
- Where will I live?
- Can I afford a child?
- Am I too young?
These are big questions to ask, and because you’re thinking about them, you probably have a lot more maturity than you realize.
What Type Of Community Assistance Is Available?
